Canadian Citizens for Charter Rights and Freedoms (C3RF) is a coalition of Canadians from diverse backgrounds who originally came together to oppose Motion M-103, the “anti-Islamophobia” motion passed by Parliament in 2017. We feared that the motion would be used to chill speech critical of beliefs and ideas even as it made unsubstantiated claims that Canada was riddled with “systemic racism” and “religious discrimination”.
Our fears were well founded and are now shown to be supported by a never-ending stream of regulations, mandates and legislation that have curtailed the civil liberties of Canadians in a most shameless fashion. These constraints have accelerated over the course of the two-plus years associated with the imposition of pandemic measures that have locked Canadians down and countered their questions and calls for related evidence as being acts of mis- and disinformation. Acts that led to the invocation of the Emergency Act of 1988 and the unconstitutional freezing of bank accounts.
Your donation will support our broad program of advocacy, education, influence operations, regular member “Updates”, and maintaining our web site at www.canadiancitizens.org with a view to counter the ongoing erosion of Canadian civil liberties. It will be used to help form a broad coalition aimed at defending the rights of Canadians to express themselves freely in opposition to those who would encroach upon such freedoms.
